CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
ITSY BITSY WHIPSYS (40 min.)   Full parent participation required.
Boys and Girls ages 1-3. Self confidence and social skills are developed through supervised exploration of the facility. Basic motor skills, body movement and control are enhanced through the use of obstacle courses involving lots of climbing, jumping and gymnastics equipment.  

LIL' WHIPPERS (45 minutes)     6:1 student to instructor ratio.
Boys and Girls age 3-4. This is a structured class for the younger gymnasts ready to explore on their own but still in need of basic motor skills development such as jumping, hopping, and skipping and self control with no more than 6 gymnasts per instructor. The use of special mats make for a safe environment for learning forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels and much much more. All of the gymnastic apparatus is used.

WHIPPER SNAPPERS (60 minutes)    6:1 student to instructor ratio.
Boys and Girls age 5. All that the Lil' Whippers have to offer including the 6 to 1 student to teacher ratio, but in a more skill oriented environment with continued emphasis on fun and safety.

PRETEAM (120 min. two times a week)    10:1 student to instructor ratio.
This class is for Girls ages 5-7 who have shown a fundamental mastery of basic gymnastic skills and who have shown a sincere desire to take up gymnastics as a competitive sport.  Emphasis is on building strength, flexibilty and the skills necessary to compete as a Level 3 or Rookie Prep Optional team gymnast. 

BEGINNER GIRLS (60 min.)      8:1 student to instructor ratio.
Age 6+. This class is designed to develop the strength, flexibility, and basic body positions necessary to create a solid foundation for basic gymnastic skills.
FLOOR: working on mastering basic body positions, forward and backward rolls, handstands, and cartwheels
BEAM: working on balance and concentration through walks and small jumps - primarily on the lower beams.
VAULT: working on mastery of the run and jump!
BARS: working on upper body strength, to be able to do basic bar skills.
TUMBLE TRAMP: working on body control and special awareness through basic jumps and jump series.

ADVANCED BEGINNER GIRLS (60 min.)    8:1 student to instructor ratio.
For the gymnast who has mastered all of the basic body positions and fundamental skills taught in our beginner classes and is looking for new challenges.
FLOOR: working on backward roll to handstand, roundoff, front and back walkovers.
BEAM: working on mastering confidence on the High Beam through walks, kicks, and jumps. Also, working basic skills (i.e.forward rolls, handstands) on lower beams.
VAULT: working on handstand to back on stacked mats.
BARS: working to master the pull over, back hip circle and basic 'swing' and to gain confidence on the High Bar.

INTERMEDIATE GIRLS (60 min.)     8:1 student to instructor ratio.
This class is designed to introduce more advanced gymnastic skills on all of our apparatus. For the gymnast that has mastered all adv.beg skills and is ready to work on-
FLOOR: working on mastering front and back handsprings.
BEAM: working to master basic skills (i.e. handstands, cartwheels) on the High Beam and more advanced skills (i.e. backwalkovers, roundoffs) on the lower beams.
VAULT:  a strong concept on the front handspring over the table trainer as well as the vault table.
BARS: has the strength and confidence to work advanced skills on Low and High Bars (i.e baby giants, flyaways)

ALL STAR  TEAM (2 hrs. x two times a week)
Has mastered all int. skills and would like to continue gymnastics classes on the recreational level. This program is for the more advanced gymnast looking to explore the competitive side of gymnastics. Incorporating individual routines and choreography adds to the overall gymnastic experience. Participation in competitions is strictly optional. This program also serves a preparatory program for High School and more advanced Team gymnastics.
